The Historic City of York:
Acorn Glade is approx 10 miles from the historic Roman, Norman & Medieval City of York (with the York Minster, Cliffords Tower, Castle Museum, National Railway Museum, Yorvik Centre & the Shambles).
This is a real hidden gem (sometimes being described as a mini-York) and a firm favourite with guests. Beverley is ideally located 30 minutes from Acorn Glade with its Minster, Saturday market, plus great array of shops & restaurants.
The Wolds Gliding Club:
Only 5 miles from Acorn Glade and is regarded as not only being one of the premier gliding clubs in the North, but also one of the top sites in the UK. Visitor flying is available all year round . Click <here> for more info.
The East Yorkshire Coast:
Historic English seaside towns are within easy reach of Acorn Glade. Beautiful Bridlington, fabulous Filey, Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough are less than an hour away. Whilst further afield you can visit Castle Howard or travel to elegant Scarborough in North Yorkshire & pictureque Whitby (1.5hrs way).

Melbourne: We are located on the fringes of the Vale of York and the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. The site is only a short walk from the village of Melbourne (0.5 miles away) with the Village Store and our local pub called The Melbourne Arms serving traditional Pub food and beer.
Pocklington: This historic market town ideally located only 6 miles from Acorn Glade; if you visit the town on a Tuesday you can enjoy the market or visit at any time to enjoy a range of unique shops, pubs and good restaurants. Here you will find Sainsburys & Aldi is Burnby Hall Gardens with Victorian secret garden and its national collection of water lilies.
